My daughter made me a lovely mixed media piece as a personalized gift, using a lid from a shoe-box as a canvas. What a brilliant and frugal idea! And the art is super adorable and meaningful as well.
Making gifts is so much more personal than buying gifts any day, and as such, this one it super special to me. I feel honored receiving a gift , knowing that she spent time and thought into making something just for me. Homemade gifts save money, but they certainly do not save time.
Peaches are a fruit made in heaven; I am completely convinced of it. When the peaches are ripe Peach Kuchen becomes a highly requested dessert at our home. Peach Kuchen has been a family favorite, on my husbands side of the family, for decades. A delicious dessert with crumbly crust and creamy topping, connected through juicy fresh peachy goodness.
So I have a confession to make… I never wear pajama PANTS. Well, very rarely anyway. The reason is that they look like floods on me. (I wear capri-type things). I was always jealous of the girls with the pants dragging on the floor looking as cozy as could be.
My friend is expecting so I decided to sew her a diaper-bag with lots of pockets inside- and-out to stay organized and a variety of fabrics and textures. I love the contrast within the strap of two different fabrics. the exterior of the bag is nice and soft with corduroy! I love that stuff so much.
I am so excited for her to invite a new little one into this world. A fresh new person to take look at this amazing earth. With loving parents to take care of him.

As far as architectural features go, balconies – as pretty and as impressive as they can be – are rarely considered to be a building's most famous feature. In fact, it is often the case that facades, rooftops, courtyards, pillars, windows and even doors are seen as being more integral to a building's overall charm than balconies. However, this is not always the case. Indeed, there have been some notable exceptions to this 'rule', both in real life and in film and fiction.
Below are six examples of balconies which have become just as famous as the buildings they are attached to.

It is so fun that lace is in style right now. We love how classy and feminine it is. Let's see how we make a lace skirt work for tall legs and how we learn to take time to enjoy life (smell the flowers) from a neighbor's horse.
