Now THAT's a stocking! However, my grocery doesn't sell potatoes in sacks. I wish they did, because I would enJOY using that fabric.

Really cute, love them. I'm itchy just thinking about sewing them though... I'd be more apt to help in the eating of the potatoes! :)

I'm also looking to DIY my stocking for Christmas this year. These are great! BUT...I like how you hang the stocking on old old window frame. I recently found an old frame and have been looking for disply ideas. I will have to pin this one!

I just love this idea!! I do have plenty of feed sacks, but not potato sacks. I also really love the sheet music wallpaper. How did you attach the sheets? I really would love to try that, but not sure now to attach.

Saw your Idaho Potato sack stockings at Jill's Creating My Way to Success website. I grew up in Buhl, and I was super delighted to see the potato sacks. They brought back many memories of "potato vacation" every fall when we picked potatoes by hand. Love the sacks! If you can email me the names of some of the potato producers, I'll email a request for a sack from a couple of them just for old time's sake. I also loved your Idaho map that you hung. Makes me homesick for Idaho, after living in Orem and Salt Lake City, Utah; Arlington and Framingham, Massachusetts; Tempe, Arizona; El Centro and San Diego, California; and Columbia and Linn, Missouri. I can't believe I now live two blocks from the Mississippi River in Southeastern Iowa. And, yes, I've been to Nauvoo, 12 miles up the river. Thank you for your photos of your Idaho Potato Sack stockings and the photos of the marvelous Idaho map. They warm my heart.

I love those stockings, how fun are they?! I'm working on our permanent forever stockings. My Nana made cross-stitch stockings for our family ages ago, and I've decided to do the same now that I'm married and have my own family. :-) Thanks for sharing at The Fun In Functional!
